Substack Launch
Exciting news! I'm thrilled to announce that I am launching my Substack newsletter!
My name is Haruun Ali and I’m a 5th year political science student at the University of Alberta. For over 4 years, I have been working to organize and mobilize people across the country for economic and social justice. At 17, I ran for City Council with a bold vision for what Edmonton could be and while I wasn’t successful, I didn’t stop there. I have continued to stay involved in political organizing by creating advocacy campaigns for causes that deeply matter to me.
In recent weeks, I have focused a bit more on educating the community about current political affairs alongside providing my views on policy issues. I plan to use my Substack as a platform not only for my views but also to share accurate information about current political affairs and the effects that policy decisions will have on the community. My goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools that won’t only help them make informed decisions but also take meaningful action within their communities for causes that matter to them.
Over the summer, I am aiming to release 1-2 posts a week with most being shared on the weekend. If you have any ideas for topics or issues that I should raise, send me a message here below!
